The Akwa Ibom State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Aleph Technical and Advisory Services for the management of key government owned hospitality facilities across the state.

The agreement was formalised on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Government House in Uyo. The signing took place shortly after Governor Umo Eno returned from an official visit to Abuja and CSS Farms in Gora, Nasarawa State.
The partnership covers four major properties. They include Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort, Four Points by Sheraton, Ibom International Hotel, and the ARISE Palm Resort.

Speaking at the event, Governor Eno said the state possesses the assets and location required to emerge as a strong tourism destination. He assured the new managers of the administration’s backing and stressed that government would provide the enabling environment needed to improve performance and attract more visitors.
Earlier, the team lead of Aleph Technical and Advisory Services, Jad Shamseddin, said his team had spent several days evaluating the facilities. He described the infrastructure as distinctive and built to international standards. He acknowledged existing gaps but maintained that targeted improvements would unlock stronger returns and reposition the properties within the competitive hospitality market.
A formal Hotel Management Agreement will be executed after the completion of due diligence processes.
Members of the Aleph delegation included Marc Matar, Vice President for Food and Beverages, Aman Raheja, Director of Development, Fiona Stewart, Director of Projects, Joseph Keserwany, Head of Technical Design, and Waqar Ashraf, Area Director for Information Technology.
