The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has dismissed as false a report alleging that delegates from the state were stranded in Abuja after the party’s national convention.

In a statement, the party described the publication, titled “Post-APC Convention Chaos: Akwa Ibom Delegates Stranded in Abuja, Blast Gov. Umo Eno,” as misleading and aimed at misinforming the public.
The party said the claim lacked credibility and insisted that the individuals mentioned in the report were not among the duly accredited and constitutionally recognised delegates to the APC National Convention.
It stated that all officially accredited delegates from Akwa Ibom were adequately provided for throughout the convention, with arrangements made for travel, accommodation, and general welfare.
According to the statement, the convention was peaceful, orderly, and successful, reflecting the unity and strength of the party.
The APC also used the statement to commend Governor Umo Eno for what it described as his commitment to peace, progress, and development in Akwa Ibom State.
It urged the public to disregard what it called misleading narratives, while reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the welfare of party members.
The statement was signed by Chief Patrick Edeke, Publicity Secretary.
