The All Progressives Congress, APC, has produced a new national management executive through consensus at its national convention, with Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda emerging as National Chairman.

The new line-up also returned Senator Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary, while Ali Bukar Dalori and Dr Benjamin Obi Nwoye emerged as Deputy National Chairman for the North and South respectively.
The list of officers shows that the party filled key national positions across its leadership structure, including legal, finance, publicity, welfare, youth, women, auditing and ex-officio offices.
Prof. Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana emerged as Deputy National Secretary, while Murtala Aliyu Kankia was named National Legal Adviser. Uguru Mathew Ofoke took the office of National Treasurer, and Amb. Haruna Ginsau emerged as National Financial Secretary.
For party administration and mobilisation, Muhamad Sulaiman Argungu OFR was named National Organising Secretary, Donatus Enyinnah Nwankpa became National Welfare Secretary, and Felix Morka emerged as National Publicity Secretary.
Other officers on the list include Sen. Abubakar Maikafi as National Auditor, Dr Mary A. Idele as National Women Leader, and Dayo Israel Abdulai as National Youth Leader. Aare Durotolu Oyebode Bankole was named National Leader for Persons with Disabilities.
The deputy positions were also filled through the consensus arrangement. Hamman Adamu Ali Kumo emerged as Deputy National Financial Secretary, Barr. Emeka Okafor as Deputy National Organising Secretary, Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim as Deputy National Women Leader, and Hon. Meseko Durosinmi Josiah as Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
Also listed are Dr Christopher Michael Akpan as Deputy National Welfare Secretary, Mr. Olugbenga Olayemi as Deputy National Auditor, Barr. Ibrahim Salawu as Deputy National Legal Adviser, Engr. Ben Akak as Deputy National Treasurer, and Jamaludeen Kabiru as Deputy National Youth Leader.
The convention also produced six national ex-officio members to represent the geo-political zones. They are Dr Opawoye Oluwatoyin Bunmi for North Central, Adamu Jallah for North East, KanoMuhammed Jamu Yusuf for North West, Hon. Ikechukwu Umeh for South East, Mr. Francis Kolokolo for South South, and Hon Bunmi Orinowo for South West.
The emergence of the new executive through consensus is expected to shape the party’s internal administration and political direction ahead of future electoral activities. The development also signals the party’s preference for a negotiated leadership process at a time it is seeking to consolidate internal order and project unity.
