Trump Rededicates America to God as Washington Signals Tougher Response to Attacks on Nigerian Christians
The killing of Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, described as ISIS’ global number two operative, has renewed political attention in Washington on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
Congressman Riley M. Moore said President Donald Trump had sent a clear message to radical Islamic terrorists accused of targeting Christians in Nigeria, warning that those who attack believers would be hunted down and brought to justice.
Moore said the removal of al-Minuki from the battlefield was both a security victory and a moral statement. According to him, the operation showed that the United States would not remain silent while Christian communities face violence, displacement and targeted attacks.
The remarks came during a One America News segment titled, “Trump Rededicates America to God,” which framed the counterterrorism action within Trump’s broader appeal to faith, national resolve and the protection of persecuted Christians.
For many advocates of religious freedom, the development will strengthen calls for deeper international scrutiny of attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria, especially in areas affected by extremist violence and armed militancy.
Moore said the message was clear: terrorists who persecute Christians in Nigeria should not test Trump’s resolve.
