President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno received strong political backing in Uruan Local Government Area at the weekend, as party stakeholders gathered for the inauguration of the Advisory Council and Executive Structure of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative, Uruan Chapter.




The event drew key figures within the party and served as a platform for renewed pledges of support for the three leaders. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South South Development Commission, Ms Usoro Akpabio, attended the ceremony and addressed members and supporters.
She was received by party stakeholders led by Hon Nkereuwem Ebong, Board Member of the South South Development Commission representing Akwa Ibom State. The gathering quickly assumed the tone of a political mobilisation, with speakers reaffirming loyalty to the President, the Senate President and the Governor.
In his remarks, the International President and Chief Executive Officer of NSEK Integrated Services Ltd, Engr Uwem Okoko, thanked President Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio for appointing Ms Akpabio to lead the Commission. He described her recent nomination into the 2026 APC National Convention Central Coordination Committee as further evidence of Akwa Ibom’s growing relevance in national political calculations.
Okoko said the state remained appreciative of what he termed sustained federal recognition and pledged continued grassroots support for the leadership of Tinubu, Akpabio and Eno.
Addressing the gathering, Ms Akpabio commended members of the Arise with Renewed Hope Initiative in Uruan for their organisation and commitment. She congratulated the newly inaugurated Advisory Council and Executive members and urged them to focus on unity, development and effective community engagement.
She also expressed gratitude to the President and the Senate President for the decision to site the headquarters of the South South Development Commission in Akwa Ibom State. According to her, the move positions the state as a strategic hub for regional development and coordination.
The ceremony attracted a broad cross section of party members and community leaders. Observers said the turnout and messaging reflected a deliberate effort to consolidate political structures ahead of future engagements within the state and beyond.
