The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has fixed April 14, 2026 for its National Convention, as the party moves to renew its leadership structures across the country.
The decision was contained in the party’s official timetable for the 2026 congresses and National Convention, released on Saturday.
In a public notice signed by the National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the exercise would begin at the grassroots and proceed through the local government and state levels before the national convention.
ADC said polling unit and ward congresses would hold on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Local government congresses are scheduled for Thursday, April 9, while state congresses will take place on Saturday, April 11.
The process will end with the National Convention on Tuesday, April 14.
The party said the exercise forms part of its constitutional duty to renew leadership structures at all levels of the organisation.
It advised members interested in contesting vacant positions at the ward, local government and state levels to obtain and complete the required nomination or expression of interest forms through its official platform.
ADC also said the forms and other relevant details are available on its website, and urged members across the country to take an active part in the process.
The party further called on members to conduct themselves in line with its constitution, guidelines and democratic principles throughout the congresses.
