
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved a fresh round of postings involving senior officers across the Nigeria Police Force, in a move aimed at strengthening operations, improving leadership, and enhancing service delivery across the country.
The changes affect several departments, formations, commands and zonal offices, and form part of what the Force described as efforts to maintain an effective command structure through the strategic deployment of personnel.
Among the new postings, AIG Ado Emmanuel has been assigned to Research and Planning at Force Headquarters, Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo moves to the Department of Armament. AIG Miller G. Dantawaye has been posted to the Department of Operations, and AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to the Department of Training and Development.
Also redeployed are AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to Police Accounts and Budget, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and AIG Dahiru Mohammed to Zone 15, Maiduguri. AIG Dankombo F. Morris has been posted to Zone 4, Makurdi, while AIG Bello Shehu takes over at Zone 14, Katsina.
Other senior officers affected include AIG Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, who moves to the Department of Legal Services, Force Headquarters, Abuja, AIG Ahmed Musa to Community Policing, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos, AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom to FCID Annex, Lagos, and AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit at Force Headquarters.
At the level of Commissioners of Police, CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya has been posted to Jigawa State Command, while CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola goes to Oyo State Command. CP Yemi John Oyeniyi has been assigned to Delta State Command, CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun State Command, and CP Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti State Command.
The new postings also see CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro deployed to Adamawa State Command, CP Muhammed Sanusi Ahmed to the Federal Capital Territory Command, CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command, CP Morkwap S. Dongshal to Taraba State Command, CP Ahmed Mohammed Bello to Zamfara State Command, CP Umar Ali Fagge to Katsina State Command, and CP Hayatu Shaffa Hassan to Sokoto State Command.
Within Force Headquarters and other formations, CP Betty Enekpen Otimenyin has been posted to Welfare, CP Aina Adesola to the Training Department, and CP Akan Ezima as Director of the NPF-NCCC in Abuja. CP Abbas Sule has been moved to the Special Protection Unit, while CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue takes up a new role at INTERPOL, Abuja.
Further changes include CP Mnwadiogbu Cletus as Deputy Commandant of POLAC, CP Danjuma I. Yahaya to General Investigation at FCID Annex, Kaduna, CP Sheik M. Danko to FCID Annex, Lagos, and CP Moses Ashu Otta to SWAT, Abuja.
The reshuffle also affects specialised units and administrative offices. CP Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu has been posted to Eastern Ports Authority, CP Sarah Ehindero to Administration at FCID Abuja, CP Edwin Ogbegbghagha to Provost at Force Headquarters, and CP Preye R. Egbe to INEC, Abuja. CP Adebisi Bola Lateef moves to Master Printing, Lagos, while CP Bolou O. Etete has been assigned to Community Policing in the Research and Planning Department.
Others include CP Ojugbele E. Adebola to General Investigation at FCID Alagbon, Lagos, CP Fidelis N. Ogarabe to INTERPOL Annex, Lagos, CP Theodore C. Obasi as Deputy Commandant of Police College, Ikeja, and CP Eloho E. Okpoziakpo to the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi, Lagos.
In the Department of Operations, CP Kayode Uthman Magaji has been posted to K9 at Dei-Dei, Abuja, CP Mohammed Babakura to Administration, CP Silas Bamidele Aremu to Safer Highway, and CP Magaji Ismaila to Community Safety and Crime Prevention. CP Markus Ishaku Basiran has been assigned to Courses at POLAC, while CP Rebecca Uchenna Okereke has been posted as Director of Music at Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The Inspector-General charged the affected officers to apply their experience fully in their new assignments and maintain high standards of professionalism, discipline and service.
