Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has submitted his nomination form for the 2027 governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as he seeks a second term in office.

Governor Eno disclosed this while speaking with Government House correspondents at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, on his return from Abuja, where he submitted the form.
He called on party faithful to support his aspiration, saying his decision to seek another mandate was driven by the need to consolidate the gains of his administration and complete ongoing projects across the state.
The Governor said his administration had recorded major development milestones under the ARISE Agenda, but noted that several projects initiated by the government would require more time to be fully completed.
According to him, continuity would help ensure that the projects are delivered in line with the original vision behind them.
“We will continue to pray, trust in God, and remain committed to serving our people. But you can see clearly that there is still so much work on ground. Many of the projects we have started will not be fully completed within this term.
“That is why we are asking for another mandate to drive home these initiatives and consolidate on the progress already made for the benefit of our people,” the Governor said.
Governor Eno thanked the people of Akwa Ibom State for their support in the last three years, saying his administration remained committed to serving the state with focus and responsibility.
He expressed hope that the support would be sustained through the remaining part of his first term and into a possible second term.
