Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has restated his administration’s commitment to providing a safe, peaceful and supportive environment for children across the state.

He gave the assurance on Friday, March 13, 2026, when he received pupils of King’s Kids Christian Montessori School, Uyo, at Government House during an educational tour.
The governor said he chose to make time for the pupils despite his busy schedule because of his strong interest in the wellbeing and future of children. He said government has a duty to create an environment where children can learn in peace and build a strong academic foundation.
Governor Eno told the pupils that they represent the future and said the experiences they have today will help shape the people they become tomorrow. He added that his administration is focused on maintaining peace and order so that children can concentrate on their studies and pursue their ambitions.
He urged the pupils to take inspiration from the visit and remain committed to their education, saying the work of his administration is aimed at building a legacy that will benefit future generations.
The governor also said his government remains committed to the welfare of the people of Akwa Ibom and to delivering on the mandate entrusted to it by the electorate.
He praised the teachers for their dedication to raising and guiding the children, describing them as important role models in society.
As part of the visit, the pupils were taken round the governor’s office to gain first-hand insight into activities at Government House. They were also presented with backpacks containing educational materials and meal packs. The bags carried the ARISE emblem, a gesture that symbolically identified the children with the initiative.
Speaking on behalf of the pupils, Senior Prefect Ruth Thank-God thanked the governor for receiving them and commended him for his efforts in improving the state. She described him as an inspiring leader for young people.
The Deputy Head Teacher, Academics, Mrs Grace Ben, also expressed appreciation to the governor for hosting the pupils. She said the visit reflected his concern for children and would leave a lasting impression on them.
The visit ended with the presentation of an Award of Leadership Excellence to Governor Eno by the pupils.
