Leaders and stakeholders from Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, under the Uyo Senatorial District Forum, have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno for a second term in office in 2027.

The endorsement was contained in a resolution adopted at a meeting held on April 9, 2026, at Ibom Hall in Uyo. The forum said the decision followed its assessment of the three leaders’ performance at the federal and state levels.
In the document, the group commended Tinubu’s administration for what it described as economic reforms, infrastructural expansion, social investment policies and efforts to strengthen democratic institutions under the Renewed Hope Agenda. It also praised Akpabio’s leadership of the National Assembly and said his role had helped to sustain cooperation between the legislature and the executive.

The forum also applauded Governor Umo Eno’s administration, saying his ARISE Agenda had driven infrastructural development, healthcare expansion, youth and women empowerment, agricultural programmes, tourism investment, educational support and social welfare initiatives in Akwa Ibom State.
As part of its resolutions, the forum gave what it described as a unanimous endorsement to Tinubu for a second term as president in the 2027 general election. It also backed Akpabio for another term as President of the Senate, subject to his re-election as senator for Akwa Ibom North-West, and endorsed Umo Eno for a second term as governor.
The group also passed a vote of confidence on the three leaders and pledged to mobilise support across wards, chapters and local government areas within Uyo Senatorial District to secure victory for Tinubu and Eno in 2027. It added that it would work with political allies in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District toward the re-election of Akpabio.
The resolution was signed by former Senator Effiong Dickson Bob on behalf of the Uyo Senatorial District Forum. Other signatories listed in the document include Obong Umana Okon Umana, Senator Ita Enang and Akwa Ibom State Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah.
