Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has advised well-wishers who may wish to celebrate his 62nd birthday with gifts and souvenirs to instead channel such support to the poor, widows and orphanages.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, a day before his birthday, the governor thanked the people of the state for their prayers and continued support.
Eno said he would not receive personal gifts and urged those who wished to honour him to use the occasion to uplift the downtrodden and support orphanages of their choice.
He also asked that such acts of compassion be documented with pictures and videos and sent through his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, or his Chief Photographer, Idara Adiakpan.
The governor said the essence of life is to impact the less privileged and give them reason to remain hopeful.
He prayed for God’s blessings upon Akwa Ibom State and its people as his administration continues its work towards the state’s growth and development.
