Governor Umo Eno has secured Executive Council approval for the construction of the 4.0-kilometre Ekom Iman Junction, Afia Nsit, Nduo Eduo, Mbiokporo No. 1 Road in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, in a move expected to improve access and connectivity for communities along the corridor.

The approval was granted during the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council meeting held on Thursday at the Council Chambers, Governor’s Office, Uyo, with Governor Eno presiding. The meeting also ratified 39 projects across the state, including 27 road projects covering more than 167 kilometres.
The Nsit Ibom road project was awarded to Techno Impex Synergy Ltd. Its inclusion among the latest approvals highlights the administration’s continued focus on road infrastructure as a key part of project delivery under the ARISE Agenda.
The road links Ekom Iman Junction, Afia Nsit, Nduo Eduo and Mbiokporo in Nsit Ibom, and is likely to ease movement for residents, commuters and businesses in the area once completed. That expected impact is an inference drawn from the route and nature of the approved project.
With the approval, the Umo Eno administration has added another local road project to its expanding infrastructure portfolio, reinforcing its stated commitment to opening up communities and improving transport links across Akwa Ibom.
