The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has denied reports alleging that it held a meeting with the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
In a press release issued on April 8, 2026, the party said it had not held any meeting, whether formal or informal, with the ADC or any of its representatives.
The statement, signed by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, described the reports as misleading and baseless.
According to the party, no such meeting was convened or authorised by its leadership. It added that any persons said to have taken part in such an engagement acted in their individual capacities and did not represent the PDP in any form.
The party urged its members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the claims, insisting that the reports do not reflect its position or activities.
The PDP also said preparations for its party primaries had made significant progress. It noted that further details on timelines and guidelines would be communicated in due course.
It added that its focus remains on its internal processes and on providing credible leadership and direction for Nigerians.
