The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, RHA, on Saturday distributed 5,000 bags of 50kg rice to residents across the state in an Easter outreach that reached transport workers, tricycle riders, minibus operators and members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

The State Coordinator of the group, Prince Ikim, said the gesture was to celebrate the Easter season with Nigerians in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He apologised for the late arrival of the rice, explaining that the vehicle conveying the consignment to Akwa Ibom State broke down on the way.

Ikim said the outreach reflected the group’s mobilisation philosophy and its commitment to taking its message and support efforts closer to the people.
He said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors shares “one party, one message, one mobilisation framework.”
Beneficiaries of the distribution included members of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo community, transporters, commercial tricycle operators and minibus riders across the state.
The outreach adds to the growing visibility of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Akwa Ibom, where the group has become more active in grassroots political mobilisation and public engagement around the Renewed Hope agenda.
In recent weeks, Prince Ikim has featured prominently in public messaging by the Akwa Ibom chapter of the group, including Easter-themed mobilisation and outreach activities ahead of Saturday’s distribution.
At the national level, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has also stepped up grassroots mobilisation in support of President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election cycle, with reports indicating that state and zonal coordinators have been urged to intensify local engagement and promote the administration’s policy direction.
The inclusion of Ohanaeze Ndigbo among the beneficiaries is also politically notable in Akwa Ibom, where the group has remained an organised and visible socio-cultural bloc in recent public affairs and political endorsements.
With Easter coming at a time of continued economic pressure on many households, the distribution is likely to be received as both a festive relief effort and a grassroots outreach move targeted at key community and occupational groups in the state.
